...but this response typifies the hysteria and lack of biological understanding displayed throughout. Potatoes are not fruit. They're vegetative nutrient storage tissues. Pollinators have little impact upon potato production. In fact, it appears more likely that vegetative reproduction in plants like potatoes circumvents dependence upon sexual reproduction mediated by pollinators.
