Brent and WTI are 2 different markets. Overall, they are linked by common market dynamics, but specific ones to each can cause them to deviate from each other. Brent is far more affects by foreign production, like from OPEC, and shipping disruptions. WTI is more affected by domestic production and pipeline disruptions. Also, the timing matters, the contracts on each market expire at different times. They aren't synced.
