They were the only ones in the movie theater that got the joke, too. It was shown as a short preview to some film they had gone to see. At first, they were remarking to each other how close Swedish seemed to English (in fact, it is--I learned to speak Swedish years later), until they finally figured out what was going on ("Golden Escargot Films" wasn't a dead giveaway, apparently), and it was English being spoken as fake Swedish. But then they were howling with laughter in the movie theater, being shushed by the other people watching, who hadn't gotten the joke yet, and were under the impression they were seeing some kind of preview for the next Ingmar Bergman film.

By the way, this was also the inspiration for the closing scene of the TFT video "My Pillow, My Pillow, My Pillow."
