legislate our priorities, if we control both houses of congress---

Let Trump take the blame for vetoing legislation which the voters support,
and these things become winning campaign issues for 2028!

I am reminded of the Buchanan presidency, during which, at the behest of the south,
Buchanan vetoed the first homestead act, a land-grant college act and a railroad bill....
All these became election-winning issues for LIncoln and the Republicans in 1860!

(My personal priority would be for Democrats to pass a repeal of the 'Big Beautiful Bill'
through budget reconciliation, and let Trump veto THAT---
polls show the majority of voters HATE that bill, and attempting to repeal it
would give Democrats a winning issue heading into the 2028 presidential election!)
