3. I still don't know how I'll vote

Not Swalwell. Just, no. Guy with an AI company and a past and present built for inevitable scandal. Nah, I'm good. I don't care how many people like his tweets.

I used to be a Porter person, but I've cooled on her.

Probably leaning Steyer. If Pritzker can manage Illinois, maybe Steyer will be good. I do have friends working on Steyer's campaign right now, and they swear up and down he'll be amazing.

But, eh. I wish I were enthusiastic about someone, but I'm just eh about California politicians in general. The way party politics have been running in this state just seem to leave everything in a "Politics is about personal ambition - the voters are a secondary concern." And it's shown in a lot of ways in how the state functions. That's why I am incredibly cool on Newsom in '28 and will vote for just about anyone else in the primary.

The PR campaign for a lot of these people is great, but when you look at the actual policies they're managing . . . well. Not what you hope for from a Democratic super-majority state.
