I just can't shake it. As the child of a refugee and an immigrant myself, I have suffered first hand what war does to both the people fighting it and their families. We never should have gotten to this point. What the fuck is wrong with the god damn republicans? As a citizen I apologize to the world. Most of us would love to sit at the table with you and bask in both our diversity and yet sameness.

We all long for shelter, to be clothed, nourishment , education, health care and most of all, community.

To my sisters and brothers in Iran, I do not support trump, in fact I abohor what he is doing. It weighs heavily that I am a citizen of a nation that will commit war crimes and crimes against humanity.
