You know - vendetta isn't an Italian word for nothin'.

This is especially true of Southern Italians (like Bondi) - though Northern Italians have a history of it too (think the Borgias and Medicis).

I know - because my Piemontese mom (NW Italy) can hold a grudge with the best of them.

But then - her inner Pope Francis (whose father was from Asti, like most of my mom's forbears) comes through, and all is forgiven.
