If only she would've had one more rally... Does the "But She Didn't Come to My House and Tuck Me In" Blame Democrats thing only apply to women?

Oprah urged people to vote for the Democratic nominee in 2016 by saying, "She's not coming over to her house, you don't have to like her!" Well, evidently Democratic candidates are expected to come over to the house of every potential voter in America to ask how they feel and tuck them into beddy boo.

People don't want government to tell them what to do but want the government to be mommy and therapist? Would be simpler just to take ten minutes and find out a candidate's platform and what they've done and try to help get them elected.
