Walmart-owned Sam's Club is increasing its membership prices in May, as the warehouse store company prepares to expand its footprint across the United States this year.

In an emailed statement to USA TODAY, Sam’s Club said it is raising its annual membership prices starting May 1. The price increase was communicated to Sam’s Club members through email, according to Southern Living.

“We have adjusted our membership pricing to support the things our members love,” Sam’s Club told USA TODAY.

According to Sam’s Club, the price increases will affect both its Club membership and its Club Plus membership.

The price for a Club membership will go from $50 to $60 a year, while the Plus membership rate will go from $110 to $120 a year. Additionally, Plus members will also be able to earn up to $750 a year in Sam’s Cash rewards.
