Perhaps the logical outcome of helicopter parents and a trophy for coming in 15th place? The thinking is all wrong.

Sorry for my "in my day" bit, but seriously, I wasn't brought up to believe I "deserved" a goddamn thing. I EARNED it through work, perseverance, study, and grit. My life was mine to either succeed or to fail. Mine. That was all on me. Mom and dad equipped me with the tools. What I chose to do with those tools was entirely on me. If I failed, that was my failure, not society's.

Want a good job? Get training and education in a field that actually has some prospects. Want a girlfriend? First, try acting like a normal, decent human and not some pasty, entitled jackass. It ain't that fucking hard.
