Yesterday

was probably the plan from the start. This information was withheld from the public because of the predictable public backlash.

In the end, it might be the only way to ensure that Iran never gets a nuke weapon, but the implementation of the goal is f'd up. If that was the intent from the start (which I'm sure is what Israel wants), the US administration should have developed a coalition consensus and plan with other nations in advance.

Would not have been necessary if the doddering old man had not scrapped the negotiated treaty in his first term. He's got more hubris than brains.
