I am in western NY, near Buffalo but farther inland from Lake Erie.

We had very strong winds all night on Friday, but yesterday was calm.

Right now, the wind is at nearly steady 21 mph with occasional drops in speed. This started around 2 or 3 PM. It is now 7:20 pm and the winds seem to get stronger and more steadily high as time epasses.

We lost the Buffalo NPR station 20 minutes ago. That happens in storms here because the connection between here and Buffalo goes down.

A local radio station is down, too.

I walked across the street about an hour ago and had to struggle hard against gusts from the opposite direction.

No snow in the forecast until Tuesday. Tomorrow's forecast is warm and rainy. Weird weather shifts from hour to hour and day to day.
