13. The measure of a person is how they value others, over their own ontology or vainglory.

Life is not a theory or stepping stone for an individual.
It's immediately apparent when someone thinks "life is cheap"

Meister Eckhart, 13th century Christian mystic:

“if a person were in a rapture as great as St. Paul once experienced and learned that his neighbor were in need of a cup of soup, it would be best to withdraw from the rapture and give the person the soup he needs.”

We can learn even from "Groundhog Day" the movie.

The one thought that transcends all others, and is in fact, non-dual, is compassion.

It's the (only) thing that there's just too little of.

We enable these vicious tyrants by responding to their message of nationalism, religious hatred, race hatred and oligarchy, which are EASILY exploited to peoples' own loss and suffering. It's the fascist playbook, that gets played over, and over, and over again.

And that's the next step in our evolution as humans.
Smarten up or just perish.
