There are a bunch of people out there who can raise a fuss who are talentless, or only good at putting on a show to impress the gullible. It's really hard to get people with good leadership skills and high intelligence into a career in public service. It's hard work, low pay, and it's unappreciated. Some emoting idiot will always be able to make himself or herself preferred by the gullible.
I happen to think Schumer is very smart and capable leader. He can even be tougher than he has been. You can see that in video, for example, of him in the past. I just think his hands are tied by the people who like drama and think they're in one.
