Do you really not get how saying "Kamala Harris was our nominee" is super freaking offensive? One black woman made it to the stage in 200+ years? People are supposed to dance?

I saw several posts asking sunnyskies801 to explain what she meant and how she thinks Democrats should be more open to the opinions, etc. of Black women.

Gee, idk, maybe by actually listening to us and not finger-wagging when we vent about a candidate possibly being bogged down by misogynoir and good old fashioned racism? Maybe talking about concrete steps to reverse the plummeting black middle class that has happened since the erosion of DEI? Maybe by helping black mothers who have fewer resources with specific plans to help with childcare? To give him his due, Mamdani is working on this in New York City, so it can be done. Maybe by pushing to have the CROWN Act passed nationwide so that black people don't have to worry about being fired or passed over for jobs because of the way our hair grows out of our scalps? Maybe by pushing back against the lie that black people are the reason that Asians are passed over for admission to top colleges?
