They don't push the snow aside, they hurl it over the shoulder of the road.

To clear your own driveway, it's best to do the job incrementally, rather than waiting for the storm to end. And you should have a really powerful snowthrower.

Roofs have to be built strong enough to support the tremendous weight of such deep snow. And you also need to resign yourself to the idea that you might be housebound for a few days.
