This is just one more example of the right wing's inability to leave their echo chamber bubble that continues to promote unhealthy attitudes and stereotypes about human sexuality, different cultures, genders, relationships - attitudes that all center on control and hierarchy. To them sexual expression that is free and joyous is perverse and that the opposite (hidden, shameful, and something to fear, etc.) is holy. This is a continuation of rejection of peoples from cultures different from theirs. They reject all new evidence that contradicts their fixed mindset of a romanticized world from their childhood that never existed.
