with credibility, and not everyone working for a major news organization is a "sycophant to a news organization's billionaire owner's personal agenda."

Even if he's a good guy who's concerned about what's going on - as he appears to be - that does not give him the credentials and background and contacts he should have to be trusted as a reliable source for what you relayed in the OP.
