Yesterday

Hamsun was a respected Norwegian writer during the 20s and 30s, but he openly supported Hitler and the Nazis, and due to his support for the Nazi occupation of Norway and the Quisling regime, he was charged with treason after the war. By that time he was elderly and suffering from dementia so he was not imprisoned.
