I read a "Stars and Stripes" was about 60 years ago. I was on an aircraft carrier in the Tonkin Gulf. Looking back I would suppose that I was part of the great awakening or wokeness of that time. I do not remember that the "Stars and Stripes" struck me as being particularly woke.

Have more recent editions changed that much?
