My friend's letter to one of our Republican Senators: [View all]

What I wrote to Senator Grassley today:

Dear Senator Grassley -
I can't imagine how you, and other Republican Senators, feel about the actions of our President, both for trying to take over other countries, and for using "his" military to threaten legal protests by invoking the Insurrection ACT, like in Minneapolis.
Being the most experienced Senator in our country, you must be shocked by his actions and intentions. Thus, please do not let our President continue his authoritarian actions that have nothing to do with our Constitution, and more to do with his authoritarianism.
Our Country, and our Constitution, lead the world encouraging freedom, help and hope, not such actions as noted above. If you do not help stop the President's actions, all the positive actions you've made, over all these years will be forgotten, and you will be sited as "one" of the Congressmen who allowed a president to turn our country into an authoritarian country.
Please be brave enough to help stop his actions to retain our Democracy.
Sincerely,
"M.M."
