Wednesday

...threat of conflict and war.

The ancient world was the continuous management of violence--both internal and external.

We are lucky not to live in that world at the moment, but there is wisdom that comes from it that we cannot currently fathom.

Ancients would likely not want to loose what we have built; while we seem poised to throw it all away.
