53. I grew up in a city with so many good

Tuesday

Christians. They sure did love a good war movie, the more "action" the better. They were supportive of Lt Calley, hated that he was put on trial, and happy when President Nixon commuted his sentence for the My Lai massacre.
One thing that these good Christians would not tolerate was foul language.
Of course back then no politicians really cursed in public. There was Clayton Williams' rape joke, but he was just a good ol' boy, and rich too. Anyway, he lost the governor's race by 2 points.

I'm beginning to wonder if what these good Christians wouldn't tolerate wasn't bad language after all
