The two films examined Operation Anthropoid by the Czechoslovak resistance to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich, one of the primary architects of the Holocaust. On May 27, 1942, Czechoslovak Army soldiers Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš attacked Heydrich as he was on his daily commute to Prague Castle. They were trained by British spies to conduct the operation, which was authorized by the Czechoslovak government-in-exile.
