4. We've created an escape plan

W bought a modest property outside the U.S. and secured all the documentation to stay permanently.

It wasn’t cheap and we are grateful we have the assets to make this plan. Obviously, not everyone can do this.

I had a mentor and friend who escaped to the U.S. from Austria in 1938. His stories are harrowing and he and his brother lost family in the Holocaust. His experiences have informed me of what can happen.

Regrettably, it may become every person for themselves.

I wish all good Americans good luck.
