getting a fair amount of the populace who have been fairly tolerant and even supportive of LGBT rights in the past to see this as a separate issue. I know this from my own "Gun-Control," "No Kings," and other related protest friends and acquaintances. Some have drawn a line and that line is far closer to where the RW would like to see it than you'd think--to the point where I have ceased talking about the issue with them.

Don't kill the messenger, but this is my honest appraisal right now. Honestly, I think we would have been better off if we'd insisted that this determination (the athletic portion, at least) must remain with the athletic overseeing bodies (e.g., NCAA, Olympic and other governing authorities) for NOW, given THEY are easier to pressure for a reassessment than when political government gets involved. The former are certainly not free from political pressure or making ridiculous regulations, but the pressure does come from both sides and they (athletic governing bodies) are typically more amenable to data and science driven reassessments that our or any nation's political ideology (and bigotry)-driven policies.

Bottom line, I think there is going to be a need to "regroup," and "re-strategize" after what I strongly believe will be an unfavorable ruling from SCOTUS. That means legally, politically, legislatively, but most of all with population education.
