because the right wing authoritarian tribalism can turn anything into reality-free talking points which they will parrot to themselves and others without the slightest bit of embarrassment. The very fact that something was released gives them the "Aha! See!?" impetus.

I know that you know that they lie and lie and lie. But Vance knows that too. And he was counting on it. And he wasn't wrong. If you look at what MAGAts are saying, they are not ashamed of the video, they are spinning tales of righteousness about it.
