1. I think this is more evidence of Trump's dementia than it is of Trump doint it on purpose for some personal gain.

The data were not good, so Trump would seem to have nothing to gain by reprting these data early. I guess the one sign that it was purposeful (to manipulate the market) would be if someone made a ton of money off it being released early. I imagine that would be possible to track. I'm sure it's being investigated by independent journalists.

It seems more likely that Trump simply forgot that he's not allowed to release the data because nobody reminded him when he was briefed.

Regardless of the reason, this is extremely serious and dangerous. The seriousness cannot be overstated.
