Supposedly, it is impossible to find out unless you have a friend in your local government willing to risk his/her job to tell you. I happen to have some ex (sorta) Mossad friends who have the capacity to find out “if” but not necessarily “who,” and as long as some nameless government agency doesn’t start sending me bills for all the translation work, I don’t really give a rat’s ass. Before the wall fell (it became public later), East Germany used to listen in on millions of their citizens. Their socialist gestapo (called the MFS or “Stasi” for short) had so much information, they were drowning in it, and didn’t have the personnel to process it all.
