...but I'm not sure I agree with him this time.

This would be like saying the 1989 military intervention in Panama to arrest Manuel Noriega was a warm-up for the Gulf War. They were entirely different operations requiring very different plans. (Not saying I agreed with either of them.)

Cuba and Venezuela aren't really comparable. Cuba can put up a pretty good defense, and it wouldn't be in-and-out for US forces. And its leadership isn't nearly as unpopular at home as Maduro. The orange hairball that walks as a man does may not get this, but the military surely does.
