That covers a lot of ground, and is a waste of time and resources.
Even fire departments and emergency rooms arent prepared for anything , they only prepare for realistic plausible scenarios.
Do you think the Republican Party wants the midterms cancelled?
Do you realize that would result in the erasure of the House of Representatives, since all terms expire at the end of 2026?
So, no congress = no budget, no increase in the debt ceiling, etc.
Not to mention umpteen states without governors, secretaries of state, Attorneys General etc.
Of course, Trump is primarily focused on avoiding impeachment, but nobody in his administration is going to encourage canceling the election just for that reason.
I prefer to think of myself as the voice of reason, asking question that nobody seems to want to answer.
So many insist Trump could cancel the midterms, but nobody ever outlines a detailed explanation of just how he could successfully accomplish such a task (or actually 50 tasks, since its not just one election that would be cancelled but 50) without pushback from the courts (which with just a couple of exceptions, he has obeyed), the states, and the people.
If you have an answer to my question of How?, I invite you to share it.
