I guess it’s possible a Unicorn could crash through the Capitol dome during the State of The Union address and impale Trump, Vance and Johnson on its horn.

But, for instance, am I wrong that, during none of the instances you list where elections were held during adverse circumstances, there was no wish from the executive branch that elections not happen?

Severely flawed logic.

A wish from the executive branch, especially the current administration does not increase the plausibility, possibility or probability of an event happening.

To wit:

Miller demands 3,000 arrests/deportations daily, but ICE only gets close to 1,000 on their “best” days.

Trump orders an end to voting by mail, and is universally ignored by the states.

No troops deployed to Chicago or Portland.

Indictments dismissed against Comey and James.

There is plenty more evidence that this administration does not always get its “wishes” granted.

Where is your evidence, specifically related to the issue of cancelling elections, that Trump could successfully achieve that wish? Do you think the states would just roll over and comply, resulting in all 50 states have zero representation in the House, and a senate reduced to 66 senators?

That’s the problem with broad brushed Doomerism- the feared end result is rarely thought through to include the required steps to reach that end result.
