“While I got ya, what’s happening with Gateway Tunnel, so I need that turned back on,” she said she told Trump. “I’m looking forward to working with you on Penn Station and by the way congestion pricing’s working. So that kind of set off a nice conversation but that’s how it goes. And so I’m not afraid of taking on the fight with him or anybody else who attacks our authority as a state and a city to implement a policy that is for our own constituents.”

Asked if Trump responded, Hochul said the conversation got sidetracked by a discussion about the Trump Administration’s incursion into Venezuela this weekend.
