This was always the plan. They just let Trump think we were taking over Venezuela.

Maduro was seized to carry out an arrest pursuant to an indictment in NY federal courts, with the support of the military.

Anything beyond that was just Trump running his mouth (and threatening to blow up the carefully crafted legal justification for what he did.
