Everyone was grim, but some managed nervous laughs that I know was meant to self-soothe and cope with the anger. All five of us were aghast, standing out there in the per-dawn darkness watching our unimpacted/unaware playful dogs with some considerable envy.

No. It is BEYOND NOT ACCEPTABLE.
