For a lot of important people they have staff who do things like social media. It's unlikely Kamala Harris personally logs in to Twitter and Bluesky and posts everything herself. In addition often times people use social media management software to automatically post to multiple platforms and even if they don't have that it only takes a minute or two to copy and paste your post.

"But many if not most prominent Democrats post more messages on X than on Bluesky." that's a huge problem. I acknowledge that it's true but I really wish it were not. I believe crossposting is a great way to bring us closer towards ending our dependence on Twitter.

Also about follower count: Twitter has a big bot platform. Bluesky is great about removing bots. I've reported some obvious bots and they got banned within minutes. You'll never see that fast of a response on Twitter.

Also Bluesky has real enagement. Twitter has view counts and follower counts that might be inflated. We should pay attention to real results that people get with Bluesky vs Twitter.

Kat Abughazaleh has decided to completely stop using Twitter:

This has always been a Bluesky-first campaign. But as of today, we will no longer be using Twitter. At all.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

She sites better fundraising on Bluesky.

So the fact is Bluesky is already delivering real results and is a much better platform than Twitter. But you're right ultimately even when we eliminate all the bots and fake views it is still true that Twitter does have a big user base so there is a lot of work left to be done. I hope you'll join me in the fight by urging others to switch to Bluesky.
