but I AM tired of hearing her name being used as nominally a wipeout for everything experienced by these little girls. Even if you make a mistake here and there, believe the damned females! More often that not, the crime happened. It's just our society doesn't count female as being important enough to believe. I would daresay that every single female on DU has had her own experience, and some are still trying to work through them. As one of those affected, I can't tell you how hard it is to go through this crap with all these touchstones being brought up and tossed aside. I want to stay up on what's going on, but damn... it's like 'skim through this' or that report. I certainly don't want to go down a rape rabbit hole just because the accusation came from a girl, and can't be trusted because she is a girl. And that makes me feel awful in hoping that a few little boys were raped, too... surely THAT would make this society sit up and take a little notice. It finally looped back against the Catholic Church... altho the Baptists are still fighting that any such thing could take place.
