I've been thinking for a long time that Trump is insanely jealous of the Kennedy family. It gives him great pleasure to destroy or deface anything associated with them, i.e., the Rose Garden, the Center for the Performing Arts. I believe his appointment of worm brain to the HHS was a giant "fuck you" to the rest of the Kennedys. It wouldn't surprise me if he tried to extinguish the Eternal Flame.
