(1,326 posts)The harsh quotes that Vanity Fair picked to highlight the article are couched by softer words that excuse, justify, and support what this administration is doing. She even supports what RFK Jr. (who she refers to fondly as "my Bobby" ) is doing. The only one that she really seems to distain is Musk. She praises and supports almost everything that has taken place since the election. For example:
"For Trump, Wiles has helped pick a Cabinet of MAGA hard-liners: Pete Hegseth, secretary of war (formerly defense); Kash Patel, FBI director; John Ratcliffe, CIA director; Pam Bondi, attorney general; Tulsi Gabbard, director of national intelligence; and Kristi Noem, head of Homeland Security. Wiles calls them a world-class Cabinet, better than anything I could have conceived of. Trumps Cabinet members are either one of the least qualified presidential teams in history or, to hear Wiles tell it, disruptersthe only people with the balls to take on an entrenched deep state."
She says that he is not falling asleep during meetingjust closing his eyes, justifies his attacks to women reporters because they are the main ones questioning him, she says the boat strikes are warranted, etc, etc. She praises, Vance, Rubio, and most of the others. I was initially hopeful when I read the headlines that she was going to show some reason, but after reading everything, I'd be very surprised if she got fired, quit, or even got much backlash for these interviews. I guess we'll see...
