...that all taxes are bad, and that somehow cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthy benefits them--while all government spending is wasteful even if it helps them and their families.

If and when given the opportunity again, Democrats need to develop programs with proven, trackable, and demonstrable benefits with true taxpayer accountability in order to build the public's trust in both Democrats' spending plans and the benefit of their proposals.

They need to approach politics like they are an intern at a company trying to prove that they have good ideas that once implemented will help both the company and their career.

Winning an election is not the same thing as winning the public's trust--I think the last one should prove that once and for all.
