to a tree, crawl up, stiffen at a blue jay, for two hours.
Overload.
Still wake to a trying day, less so than most.
We are rudderless, because no one knows how to fix it.
We've been outflanked.
Dams have burst.
The blue jay lurks.
We must inchworm stiffen.
