their own, which is so obviously authoritarian that it hurts, and completely flies in the face of the old "states' rights" mantra they used to throw around like some kind of get out of jail free card. They dropped that ancient bullshit like a fucking hot potato once they got the fascist federal government of their wet dreams.

Almost like the only thing they give a fuck about is power or something.
