A harbinger of things to come? [View all]

I'm in Central Florida and there was no real time warning about a severe rainstorm until AFTER it had already started. Rain was not forecast for today, but on the evening weather news the weather man said that dark clouds were converging and he felt that meant that rain might be on its way. Based on that small statement we brought in everything that needed to be protected. I did walk out and smelled rain in the air. I had checked the doppler and it looked like something was forming in our area. No sooner were we inside the house when a massive rainstorm swept in so fast that the golfcourse was whited-out from the heavy rain within seconds. A poor jogger was caught in it and alternated between sprinting and jogging, but the man was soaked.

As I said, the warning would have come in too late. I received a couple of texts while it was in full throttle, and two phone calls after it already passed.

What Trump is doing to us, taking down federal agencies that are supposed to protect us, is going to result in unnecessary deaths. But he doesn't care. Has he even come out to talk about those four American soldiers who died in Lithuania?
