Pete Hegseth Brought Wife To 'Sensitive' Meetings With Foreign Military Leaders: Report

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth brought his wife to meetings with foreign military chiefs where “sensitive information was discussed,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

Jennifer Hegseth, a former Fox News producer, attended two meetings with her husband and his overseas counterparts — one with the U.K. Secretary of Defense in March and the other being a NATO meeting in Brussels in February.

The publication said some of the people attending the meetings didn’t know who Jennifer Hegseth was.

While spouses are sometimes given low-level security clearances, it is unusual for them to sit in on national security meetings, current and former defense officials told the WSJ.

The revelation comes soon after it emerged that a journalist was mistakenly added to a Signal group chat of White House officials where the defense secretary outlined details of plans to bomb Yemen.
