There is room for both. Prevention is a multifaceted, multi layered process. And yes, that includes mechanical removal a.k.a. raking, as much as we hate to admit it.

The 1970 fires were brutal, and arson, I believe, up & down the coast. Santa Annas were blowing hard, it was very dry
