do not love their children is to fail to understand how dehumanization works. You can love your children and still dehumanize other children and be cruel to them - especially if you don't see those children. You can also love children and dehumanize their parents to such a degree that you are able to see separating them as saving them. If Ivanka had been taken away from the tangerine Mussolini at a very young age, would that be evidence that the person who separated them hated children?
