Former Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-Fla.) lawsuit against the House Ethics Committee was rejected for technical reasons and must be refiled before the court takes any action, the court docket shows.

The court clerk rejected Gaetz’s filing for not serving the Justice Department and combining his complaint and emergency motion into one document.

The emergency motion, which seeks to immediately block the report’s release, must be filed separately.
