Democrats need to turn Musk into the boogeyman [View all]

Republicans, often with the help of mainstream media, excel at turning individuals (like the Clintons, Pelosi, Soros, AOC, etc.) or groups they label as “others” (such as transgender people, immigrants, Black people, Muslims, etc.) into boogeymen. For the life of me, I can’t understand why Democrats haven’t done the same with Elon Musk—the richest man in the world, from apartheid South Africa, who has increased his wealth by $400 billion in just four years while showing little regard for his workers. He’s like an evil Bond villain come to life, blatantly displaying his narcissism and malevolence, yet people just shrug it off. To make it even more baffling, people who claim to be fed up with their own economic struggles still support a guy like this, even though he couldn’t care less about them. And let’s not forget—he bought a major social media platform to control its messaging. Despite all of this, his followers worship him as some kind of genius or aspirational figure, clinging to the fantasy of becoming billionaires themselves.
