Although many religious schools are not bad. Example: my daughter went to one. It was Catholic and was about the size of this school although only 4 years (high school). One of her classmates attempted suicide and was hospitalized for depression for 6 weeks. The outpouring of love he received on his return was amazing. She described it to me when she got home that day. She was even awestruck as she'd been in public school for 8 years and never seen such a thing there.
