But too many ARE rolling over for this shit. Why are ANY Dems, much less Jim Clyburn, calling for Trump to be pardoned to "clear the air"? Sorry, but I'm real tired of Dems cleaning up Rethugs crap. I tired of them constantly giving ground, constantly being the ones who have to reach across the aisle and compromise. I can't remember who he was, but a few years back some Rethug asshole in Congresss said his idea of compromise was "the Democrats doing what we tell them to", and absolutely nothing has changed.

Unfortunately, right now, we don't have enough Eric Swalwell's, AOC's, Ted Lieu's, Jasmine Crockett's, or Jamie Raskin's in the House. We don't have enough Adam Schiff's or Elizabeth Warren's in the Senate. We need more, and badly.

I'm not here to bash Democrats. I'm 76 and have been a proud Democrat since I registered to vote at 21. But I'm tired of them letting Republoicans set the agenda, and the ground rules. You know the old adage about bringing a knife to a gun fight? Dems haven't even been bringing a knife...they've been bringing a rule book. It's got to stop, because now they're dealing with people who don't believe the rules pertain to them, ever.

The Neville Chamberlains, at least. Gore1FL Dec 2024 #1
